Hamilton and seating at the Richard Rodgers Theatre

I recently purchased a ticket for a performance of Hamilton next month at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. The ticket I purchased was listed as "partial view" at the very last row of the center Orchestra and I assumed that since the ticket costed $167, this probably meant just the top of the set was blocked off–––and that's not much of an issue for me. I recently sat in the last orchestra row for The Audience and had a fine experience. However, I've since Googled around and apparently the Richard Rodgers' overhang sight has a terrible reputation, but most of those complaints were for performances of Tarzan, where such obstruction indeed ruins the entire experience.

Has anyone here sat in the back of the orchestra at the Richard Rodgers for a non-Tarzan show? Is it tolerable?

I sat in row W partial view right orchestra at Hamilton on July 21. I think my ticket price was the same, lol! Well....it was disappointing because the stage has a balcony lining the back of it and sometimes the characters would stand up there and even when sort of bending forward I could not really see their faces only the bottom part of their bodies.



After intermission for some reason this woman who was sitting in front of me in row V had moved next to me because they wanted to be able to leave quickly. So I went and sat in their seats in row V and it was better. When I leaned forward it seemed like I could see the character's faces when they were standing on the balcony. At Row W you can still see the main action on the stage but the overhang is annoying. It's not the complete end of the world and the show is phenomenal!! You will love it, I believe! I might see it again this week with my son

I hope so too, Marlothom. If you remember, I would appreciate your thoughts on the show and your experience in the theatre.

I should add I've never had a problem with seating when it comes to musicals.
