Wow, I hate to think that Covid is back! I saw BOM on Sunday, Oct. 4. Kevin Clay was out, and Jack Baugh was on as Elder Price. My friends and I thought he was excellent. He is listed in my Playbill as the sole Elder Price standby. This was my first revisit is maybe a decade, and I thought the performers were all bringing their A game.
Most user reviews are now from a “verified attendee,” not an individual person. It’s sad because Show Score used to be quite useful, especially when the $5 tickets were available. Once TodayTix bought it, that was the beginning of the end. At this point, I have given up on it. There's no way I'm going to answer 99 marketing questions in order to leave a short review.
I thought this was a hoot and a half. I expected this show to be a throwaway, but there's more here than meets the eye. Mario Cantone was on fire. He was hilarious reading from Carol Channing's autobiography, and of course he did his Liza. Jeff Hiller was another standout. He really leaned into the ridiculousness of it all. But all the readers were funny. (Jackie Hoffman is no longer doing a Black voice as Mr. T, at least as far as I noticed.) And a lot of research went into this show, as app...
I haven't watched the proshot yet, but I saw Suffs at the Public, on Broadway, and the first national tour in Boston (which was an incredible production, first-rate!). I was just so-so on the show at the Public, but I loved how Taub revised the show for Broadway. Plus, if anyone has the chance to see the tour, grab it!
Just wanted to add to the praise for The Balusters. It's a wry, nuanced look at members of a neighborhood association and thier uneasy alliances. Are they do-gooders or do they each have a hidden agenda? Do they even know for sure? And how do they see themselves? Playwright Lindsay-Abaire proceeds to put human nature under a microscope, with hilarious results. Every single one of the performances is top-notch, and it's really fun to watch when the fur starts flying! Anika Noni Rose has the pi...
I attended the matinee today via TDF. Seat was in Row E mezzanine, the last row. But I was happy with the view.Since this was my first real exposure to the play, I don't feel qualified to "review" it. But I felt Nathan Lane was too shouty, and it bothered me more as time went on. I found the set bleak. The floor was covered with dirt in places. I had trouble figuring out what it was supposed to represent. Now I'm reading in this thread that it was the inside of an old, crumbling garage, but I...

You said it! I also asked if I could download the reviews I had already posted to the site, and the answer was no. So I took screen grabs of the 450 reviews I have up there, just in case the site shuts down unexpectedly.
I did hear back from an email I sent last week:Thanks so much for getting in touch — I completely understand how confusing it can be not to see your review appear straight away.Your review has been safely saved and counted. We’re in the middle of a big set of improvements to Show-Score, which means reviews aren’t appearing immediately on profiles or show pages right now. Full synchronisation is expected by March 2026.You’ve already seen the first part of this work with new survey questions an...
Has anyone tried to review a show on Show Score recently? I tried to score Oedipus, and I got taken to a survey instead. I completed the survey (several times!), but I was never given the option to score the show. I hope user reviews aren't the latest functionality Score Score will deep-six! Then there's nothing left.
I won the Telecharge lottery yesterday for Ragtime and saw the show tonight. Incredible production! Seats were on the far side of the Beaumont orchestra but perfect view for $49. You can buy one seat or two.
Yes, the $129 price point, which I purchased as a member, is no longer available. The $45 seats for the under-30-year-olds are a good deal, though. They are right up front, and there is a limit of two. I'm wondering if the Shed overreached on prices. There are many seats unsold.
I just bought two tickets to a matinee in November. I waited in a queue for a half hour. Site was very buggy. I got signed out at one point and kept getting weird error messages. Ticket prices ranged from $299 to $129. That's what I bought. The $129 seats are on the far sides.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale tomorrow for the highest rung of members (not my rung, LOL). Does anyone know the range of prices? Also, for Straight Line Crazy there were a couple of lower-priced seats available at each performance. Has anyone heard about something like that?
