Does anyone know if the performance rights for "Wonderland: The Musical" are available yet? Apparently one of the theatres that I perform at wants to do it, but I am unaware if any rights are available. If they are, who carries them?
I would assume that MTI will get the rights since they offer most of Frank Wildhorn's musicals but so far it has not been listed or announced to be forthcoming from them. If I had to guess I'd say the writers may be disputing royalty fees since the Broadway book was credited to Gregory Boyd and Jack Murphy but largely ghost written by Rupert Holmes. They may ultimately do what was done with Frank's Jekyll & Hyde, Dracula and The Civil War and license a version that is different than the libretto staged on Broadway.
