To bad Brantley did not review it. Not that Isherwood's points were not valid, it is just that Brentley is an Encores enthusiast, understands the purpose of Encores and would have overlooked the thin script. Isherwood's review made it sound like one of the worst Encores ever which certainly is not the case.
As others have said, it was a wonderful Encores! show selection. The dancing was a real stand out. Just wonderful to watch. I'm still humming "Taking A Chance..." this morning.
I didn't know the show at all, and had a smile on my face the entire time!
