I just saw Dear Evan Hansen at Segerstrom Center just yesterday in Costa Mesa. My cousin Crystal drove from Lancaster to take me. The show is well worth the Tony win for Best Musical. Ive waited a whole year to witness the beautiful show DEH truly is. Beautifully energetic in music and emotionally intimate in story. Stephen Christopher Anthony had a superb voice as Evan. His talking fast was funny in bits and pieces which I didnt expect to get a chuckle out of. Maria Weiss went on as Zoe and it was interesting to see a colorblind understudy. The projections gave the staging a creative quality. I can relate to Evan mainly because I have autism although it is different from social anxiety but I still get anxious period. So thats what made the show all the more exciting. 4/5 stars

I welcome the day when colorblind is replaced by human.
