Maybe they realized how sticky the award was going to be to give out and they're just going to keep puting it off until everyone forgets about it.

The fact that they create a new award and dont even present it the year that they come up with it is beyond stupid! All you people who were looking for a Tony upset this year, here it is...

i might be the only one who believes this ... but i think that they should have recreated awards for the leads and the featured actors/actresses. some shows on broadway have been around since what seems like the dawn of time, many of them staying so long because of their phenomenal replacements. why not award them?

i can't believe they didn't follow through with the awards this year.

leading actor recreated:
jonathan pryce most certainly.. but i also loved harvey!

leading actress recreated:
shannon durig, sandra joseph, rachel york, and eden (yeah, yeah, yeah, i like wicked, crucify me if you want to)

EDIT: oops for rachel with the whole 6 mo. thing
