Posted: 12/4/07 at 8:30pmI've always had it but never been asked. I generally just give them my name and they give me the ticket. I've never even been asked for my credit card.

I guess. jordangirl is right.. they just ask your name... I think I got it confused if you buy regular tix and pick up at BOX OFFICE..
Yeah.. for TDF .. they usually ask your name... I usually tell them.Im here to pick up TDF tickets and they ask my name...Actually last weekend. I gave them my credit card and the guy from New World Stages told me .. i dont need it...

Everytime I've seen a TDF purchased show, I've always brought along the confirmation. They've never asked for my name, credit card or ID. All of them have just silently taken the paper and handed the tickets over...voila.
I think in general they're pretty lax w/ the hand over...my grandma could say she's "me" & they wouldn't check. Not complaining....just sayin'

In some cases you do need it.
When I ordered tickets to Beauty and the Beast, it specifically said "You need to bring the confirmation or you will not be able to pick up your tickets". I've seen this a few times on TDF, but it's not a regular thing.
I was also asked for my confirmation at the St. James.

They will almost always put on there that the theatre requests you bring the confirmation. For example, I had to surrender my confirmation when I saw Mauritius right before Thanksgiving.
Most of the time though you don't need it, although it does help if something goes wrong at a place like Theatre Row or New World Stages where there's tickets behind the counter for more than one thing.

It definitely depends on the box office. Lincoln Center has ALWAYS asked for not only my confirmation but also ID as well. The St. James took my confirmation, but never asked for ID. Every other place that I can recall has just asked for a name. Even when I have tried to slide the confirmation under the window, they usually just push it back and say, "I don't need that."

Posted: 12/4/07 at 10:19pmIf you ever get TDF tix for a show at the Biltmore, you MUST bring it. Otherwise, I usually bring it, just in case.

Posted: 12/5/07 at 4:48amI print out the TDF confirmation "ticket" and bring it with me. I normally show it when picking up tickets.

Lincoln Center has ALWAYS asked for not only my confirmation but also ID as well.
Weird, when I picked up tickets at Licoln Center, I only needed to give my name. Not my ID or my confirmation or anything.
I guess it depends on the box office person.
The only theater I've gone to so far that asked for more than just my name was the Biltmore.

Posted: 12/5/07 at 1:35pmI've never had to bring the confirmation nor show and ID anywhere. Not even the Biltmore. (of course, I knew the guy working at the Biltmore when I picked up the ticket, so that doesn't really count)
