Cabaret Revival

I've heard rumors of there being a tenth anniversary revival of Cabaret at Roundabout with Alan Cumming returning. Anyone know if this is happening?

Someone on ATC said Cumming has dropped out.

Really? That's disappointing. I'm sure whoever is cast will be wonderful though. So I'm assuming that the show itself is happening though?

Last night on 'Theater Talk' the Roundabout Artistic director talked about the rumors of a revival. He said that all plans had been scrapped to do a revival. He said that someone had gotten the idea of reviving the Sam Mendes Production and that if there was going to be a revival Roundabout would have done it, but talks fell apart and plans were scrapped.

good...as exciting as it would have been to have had it back, i'm getting kinda sick of this "let's-revive-somehting-that-just-closed-but-not-even-change-a-thing" concept (ala Les Mis, Chorus Line)

Darn. I never got a chance to see the show when it was on Broadway, and it is a wonderful piece of theatre.
