I'm aware how it looks, and I'm very embarrassed. I was in a rush, did what I would normally do in a situation like this on autopilot, and made a big mistake. There isn't an excuse. Yes, unfortunately. Two reasons. One: The balcony, even in the first couple of rows where I sat, is super detached from the action. Like incredibly so. Two: The show is really underwhelming. There are moments, and the cast is trying, but the show is a big "eh." The scenic design is really not cohesive and ultimately pretty tacky.

It would make sense. Mullally will be done shooting Breaking In for the season by then and could do a summer stint like Darren Criss will be doing in How to Succeed. That's probably what's going to happen, and then Stephanie will headline the tour in the fall (assuming they tour in the fall).

Just put Jackie Hoffman, Mary Testa, Andrea McArdle, Nancy Opel, Jane Lynch, Andrea Martin, Beth Level, and Allison Janney in rotation. They can all do other projects while they do the show, and it'd sell a ****load of tickets.

It's a paradox, but the idea that appearing effortless means that you're not trying hard is stupid. If the phrase were taken literally, effortless performances would be boring, indicated, one-dimensional, phoned in, contrived, and...well...without effort. Trying hard and putting a ton of energy and work in, while simultaneously appearing confident and naturally full of the total commitment, enthusiasm and excitement for the work, is what real 'effortlessness' looks like.

No. They just keep jamming for like ten minutes during wine after You Are the Light of the World, which is a ton of fun. I happen to love the new orchestrations.

It basically serves as the show's entra'acte.

This is unacceptable. Depending on the production, I can understand shrinking the black ensemble, or rounding it out with other minorities, but completely eliminating the racial undertones in the leads is so so wrong. This is worse than blackface.
