I'm planning a trip to New York for my spring break, from March 20th to the 24th. I have five slots for shows and I want to see November, Sunday, Gypsy, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and South Pacific.
If I am going to the city on a Saturday I usually try to buy a ticket ahead of time for the night show so I don't have to worry about going to TKTS during the matinee. I have found average discount deals for ok seats on that Saturday night for every one of the shows I want to see except November.
Do you think there is one of those shows that is going to be more outstandingly popular than the others that I should buy ahead? Or should I not buy anything ahead for that and go to the TKTS booth or do some lottery/rush thing.
Sorry for being a up in your grills, I just don't know who else to turn to! (haha)
South Pacific seems to be selling pretty well. If you know what shows are available and the discounts are available, why not save yourself the waiting at TKTS and just buy ahead of time? That's what I usually do if I know I really want to see a certain show, I don't leave it up to chance that it will be at TKTS.
Buy the ones you know you want to see and don't skimp on the seats.
Go to the box office the morning of for the other shows. Shouldn't be a problem to get one ticket
