Ricky Ian Gordon has a grant from Signature Theatre via the Shen Foundation (the one where Glory Days premiered) to write, put on a workshop, and full production of a new musical over the next couple of seasons at that theatre. I am definitely looking forward to it. LaChiusa also has the grant (his show is being produced this coming season).
