Big Fish Revisal? Feb 4

I played Edward Bloom in the "9 Chairs Version" of the show. It is now called the "Small Cast Edition." (Although our director still cast a rather large cast, LOL!) It trimmed a lot of the excess "Stroman-isms" from the show and streamlined it to focus on that beautiful story and the characters. When I saw the Broadway version, I was a bit "meh," but I completely fell in love with the show with the scaled back version. Is it true that the London ve

Rocky Horror 2025 Revival Oct 17
2024, 11:09:49 AM
The 2000 ROCKY HORROR revival, directed by Chris Ashley at the Circle in the Square, was one of my favorite things of all times! I first saw it as an audience member and then was lucky enough to get to usher for it for several months up until its first closing night (due to 9/11). Alas, I was out of town during the 6-week return so didn't get to witness the amazingness of Gilbert Gottfried (and the other guest stars) as the Narrator!!! I say just bring back that production since it was cu

Were there Playbills (or programs of any kind)? If so, could someone share a pic of the front?!? Need to know if I need to be on the lookout for one (and, if so, what to look for) for my Lloyd Webber Playbill collection. THANKS!!!

Audra McDonald-led GYPSY for 2024-2025 Season! May 30

The Majestic has a very long and steep orchestra. I wonder if she will really enter clear at the back of it or if she'll enter at the mid-orchestra point which wouldn't include the stairs?!? (Around row K-ish I think?)

Audra McDonald-led GYPSY for 2024-2025 Season! May 30

While I don't know for certain, of course, there has been a trend in the past few years of shows not selling the first few rows when tickets first go on sale. I would imagine it is to wait and see if the design of the show dictates needing those rows for set/orchestra purposes. As someone who prefer

You can search by date and it will list most of the on-stage events happening for that day. I have found it quite useful in the past for finding "odd" time performances! Good luck!

AIDA Revival! Jan 18

If her work on the incoming THE WIZ revival is any indication, I would have NO interest in seeing an AIDA directed by Williams. And I adored the original production (minus the aforementioned Father numbers).

I can only think of 7: the purple one with Lenk on the cover, Opening Night, the 4 Sondheim covers from May 2022, and the 2022 Pridebill. What am I forgetting?"
Technically you are correct. I was counting the post-pandemic re-opening performance, but that was just the basic cover a with a special sticker celebrating the return. Sorry for the confusion.

After Sondheim passed in 2021, I began to collect all major (and some minor) Playbills related to him - most NYC, but some London and a few other places. I have collected Playbills from productioons f his shos, benefit concerts, and others (like from his Memorial). It became an obsession of mine and I now have 20 3" binders full - over 300 Playbills!!! Like a c
