The humidity is not that bad since it's not that hot. And I'm a heat wuss. Once it hits 90 I'm totally useless.
Yeah, we spend 10 months of the year looking forward to the 2 months of summer we get.

That's one of the first things I did, watch the water spin down!
Yep, I'm stuck here with no quality theatre in the near future. So I'd agree and say that you're better off where you are.

Posted: 7/13/05 at 7:02pmStop complaining Elphie, I've been here my whole life with no quality theatre! Although at least it's sunny up here

Sorry NZ, you're right, the cold is just making me cranky.
But you're up on the north island where it's warmer! And I am happy that I can go skiing, so I shouldn't be complaining.

Posted: 7/13/05 at 7:33pmi know, you're so lucky! I love skiing. And if you're freezing, go out and buy a heater, cause sadly it's probably not gonna warm up down there anytime soon

Posted: 7/13/05 at 8:00pmElphaba...I must say...I know it was Unbearable here in Palmdale (try looking for a job in the hot sun all dressed up), but at least it wasn't humid. Then we'd have dead peeps on our hands...(and dead cows...wait...are there cows here in CA?)

103...Grant it, it's less than 115, but it's hotter than Hell...
Well, at least it will get cooler tonight. Yesterday was mad hot, but last night got chilly.
Hopefully, tomorrow won't be so bad. May be heading towards Magic Mountain.

thank you Dame, and we sit and laugh at your traffic and smog......however I am NOT laughing about all the new LAUSD schools opening that will help me make my annual goal by September!
Dame, darlin, through it all I do like living here full-time......I love the idea that I am living where I will one day retire.......which is one less expense for me.
why did I think you lived back east?

Elphie,
I am laughing at my friends in Palm Springs because they are constantly calling and bitching about it. I love Palm Springs. I have a home in Studio Colony ( that I rent out now). And I don't dismiss the notion of keeping it for retirement. And it is definitely much cheaper to live there. However.. Summers there are hell. One just has to deal with it for 3 months. It is not much sacrifice for 9 months of paradise.
