2007: The Year That Awesomeness Shall Be As Awesome As Possible

Watch those public/private conversations, Namo.
This is where you tell us why it's okay for you to do it - go ahead - it's "on topic" (it's not) or something.

And, one can only hope, think for yourself every so often.
Thanks, Rath. If anyone is a poster child for independent thought, it's you.

Thanks! I hear that a lot.
And someone forgot to tell you how to end italics.

I started 2007 by sitting with my best friend and a huge groupe of assorted individuals (adults, teens, small children) and watching TV on mute while acting out what we thought they were saying.
It was silly, but it was fun.
As to whether or not 2007 is going to be awesome, I can't really say. The next couple of weeks mean college applications, midterm exams, preliminary competition auditions, and bunches of Cinderella rehearsals. So I'm feeling stressed already. However, in a couple of weeks, I'll be finished with my semester AP Economics class and will be able to breathe once in a while.
Yeah, that's pretty sweet.

New year, new nickname!
Charles Dickens, who was no slouch in the Names that Reflect a Character's Personality Department, could not have come up with anything better than Little Miss Coattails (LMC) for our Rath. It just captures it all.
I think Twenty-Aught-Seven has now officially already reached a new level of awesomeness.

Yes, Namo, you're BRILLIANT! I'd try to ride your coattails, but there's no more room.
And if giving me a new nickname is all it takes to make 2007 awesome for you, well, that just warms my heart. Happy New Year!

"Brilliant" is your assessment, I wrote nothing of the kind.
I know that it's probably way too painful for you to consider that I am not the only person who has such a negative reaction to you and that other people have been perfectly capable of arriving at such conclusions without having "somebody tell them what to think," which has become a real theme of yours lately. Denial is a very strong pyschological defense mechanism that works well in the short term. But eventually you might want to try to take an unvarnished a look at this thread to see how you often come off.
Then again, a coattailish person may not even know that people are capable of independent thought if she herself rarely experiences it.

And your "theme" is and always has been amateurly psychoanalyzing people on a message board. Fortunately (at least I hope this to be true), most people know not to take the advice of a stranger whose credentials are, at the very least, questionable.
Anyway, I'm out of here, although it's been a fun public/private conversation! Have a great New Year's Day.

Does this thread have the makings of becoming the first meltdown thread of 2007?
Awesome.

Well I started off 2007 by losing my phone.
Me too. But I'm really optimistic anyway.

I don't do the faux family stuff. That's Corine & Rath's thing.
However, happy new year and may you create endlessly this year.
And Rav, your year can only look up from here!
