Nice to see US won the gold and a bronze in women's bobsled (one person).

It was wonderful to see Elena Meyers Taylor finally win Gold. An amazing woman.

My heart just went out to McGrath in the slalom, Lindsay Vonn and a few others.

It may be just me, but it feels like these Olympics are leaning more into the personal and emotional lives of the athletes. Something I am appreciating. I always wonder about the stress of competing in the Olympics. A commentator said a few days ago that these athletes win national competitions but the pressure is higher with the Olympics because the world is watching them. Along with that there is the lead up and hype over them that they have to try to live up to.

As someone who has watched the Olympics since I was a kid, I can only imagine what they are going through when I get so emotionally invested in them for two solid weeks. I tear up during competition, at and after the closing ceremonies every time!

Great commercials this year also. My favorite is the "Love Will Keep Us Together" Xfinity commercial, so far. And boy do I want to visit Cortina!

Just my opinion and random thoughts!

Cortina is very beautiful and IMO Milan is pretty cool also. Went to Milan in 2017 and loved it. The Duomo Cathedral is awesome, and it was incredible seeing "The Last Supper".

Women's hockey team wins the gold medal beating Canada 2-1 in OT. They were down 1-0 with only 2 minutes left in game when they tied it up. Megan Keller scored the goal in OT to win the gold medal for the US.

So happy for Alyssa Liu. It was really close. I just loved how she immediately went to celebrate with the skater from Japan and locked in a long hug.

Not sure what I think about the new Mountaineering competition. The sprint and navigation through the maze like area is cool but from there, for me, it wasn't that exciting. I didn't really research it before watching but I thought they had to trek up higher and ski down further. It goes by pretty fast. I didn't know until today that it has been around for quite a long time.

Exactly. She skated wonderfully but there was still a chance she could lose. If I am correct, the Japanese skater had slightly higher technical score. Did you see the "Quad God" was in the audience cheering for her?

I am old school, just give me the competitions like the slalom, downhill and super G.

I like those and the Biathlon competitions. This year's course was beautiful.

Well, I really enjoyed the games. Always sad when they end.

I fully expected to see a robust discussion about the men's hockey debacle here.

What I think is that Trump is a misogynist asshole (we knew that), and that a bunch of players on the men's hockey team were happy to go along with that, and **** them. But I think people who were in that room need to be judged on their individual behavior, and that's hard to do from the videos I've seen.

The interview today on Good Morning America sure didn't help to sort things out.

I was hoping for a more robust discussion on the games themselves. I used to love popping over here for non theatre related discussions but I think a lot of people that posted on these boards have gone away.

Not being a hockey fan, I didn't know anything about the conversation with the team. (Just did a search to find out) I did know Patel was in the locker room.

I was surprised there was no discussion on the ice dancing scoring controversy involving the French judge. And evidently, Cizeron is a piece of work.
