Emmy nominations for...
Debra Messing
Sean Hayes
Megan Mullally
But no Eric McCormack OR nomination for Best Comedy Series. I wanna say this is the first time in many years that it hasn't been nominated for Best Comedy.
But yay for the other 3!

I love "Will & Grace," but I definitely wouldn't have nominated this season for the emmys.
Congrats to "Will & Grace!"

Debra Messing? Seriously?

Shiksa, I would agree with you, but since it's the last season, I say give it to em. They deserve it with the 9 years they spent on that show. Sean and Megan do not get enough recognition.
Rath, I think Debra Messing is great, personally, but I know a lot of people don't really care for her. But I'm happy she got nominated.

Posted: 7/6/06 at 9:35pmI love Debra Messing. She's my favorite person along with Meryl Streep, who is God.
re: 3 Cheers for Will & Grace!#5
Posted: 7/6/06 at 9:36pmI'm missing not having new episodes but I'm living for the reruns.

Posted: 7/6/06 at 9:36pmAt least Blythe Danner got nominated. Thank God.

I dunno. I just never really liked this show. It seemed to be trying too hard to be witty when it just seemed pretty forced and awkward.
And I never liked the fact that sandwiches were never given proper roles on the show. Sandwiches are a vital, and very tasty, group in our society and I think it's criminal not to give them more media exposure. (That's why I applaud Quentin Tarantino's KILL BILL VOL. 2, whose camera lovingly doted on a balogna sandwich that Bill was making for his daughter for a good five minutes.)

I loved this show. Now these nominations are a travesty. Especially in light of who deserved to have them instead.
Best Actress in a Comedy - Lauren Graham
Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy - Donald Faison or John C. McGinley
Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy - Sarah Chalke
I'll be so happy when Will and Grace can't steal any more nominations next year.

Posted: 7/6/06 at 10:49pmKitzarina, I agree with you about Sarah Chalke (for my money the funniest actress on TV right now), but Iād knock Alfre Woodard out of the running before Megan Mullally, who was probably the only deserving nominee on Will & Grace this past season. I love Alfre Woodard, but did she have even one remotely comedic moment all season on DH?

A valid point. I guess I'm just sick of seeing the same people getting nominated, even when they are no longer at their peak.
Although the Sound of Music Sing-a-Long episode was easily in my top 5 for the entire series. If only the rest of the season had been like it.

Kristin Bell- Best Actress in A Drama- Veronica Mars
Marcia Cross- Best Actress in A Comedy- Desperate Housewives
These two ladies had a hell of a year on their respective shows and get zip for it.
