In my musical theatre class our current assignment is to prepare an audition piece. While I have done my share of musical theatre auditions, this counts for 1/3rd of our grade. God Bless him for allowing us 32 bars instead of only 16, but I would like some assistance in choosing and identifying the right song for me.
I'm an alto, and I would like to do more of a ballad. (Nothing overused)
Thank you so much

Are you sure it's 36 and not 32? That's really odd.
Anyway, we need some more information before we can help you-
What's your "type"?
Are you a belter?
Would you prefer something traditional or contemporary?

Whoops. I'm sorry. I read the assignment paper wrong.
It is 32. Haha.
I feel dumb.
Anyway, I am, indeed a belter.
And I don't really /prefer/ either one.
