Wow! Kirk Cameron's handwriting has really improved. He even spelled "plants" right.

Man, this just infuriates me. How is it legal to "teach" kids this shlt?

33 percent of Americans think "humans and other living things have existed in their present form since the beginning of time."

And that 33% just happens to have been the approval rating of George W. Bush when he left office...

33%?? Wow. That's damn good. Only 7 points off from Obama's current 40% approval rating.

I can't believe he's letting her stay there the rest of the year. I'd take my kid out right away. (They can put her into a gifted program at a public school at least.)

Who said she's gifted?

The dad indicated she's a high functioning student. Maybe she's not really he just thinks so. "She is ahead of most of her peers and also is taking Latin there."
I suppose it was too much inference on my part to think she might at least belong in a gifted program.

I assume this is precisely why parents would put their kids in a Christian private school.

It's troubling that dad could this story out into the interwebs without a problem but he didn't take the time to inquire about the curriculum before he sent his child to a school that he had to pay for.

Off topic response to the Headband:

Since you're playing with numbers, let's get them right. Bush left office with a CBS/NYT approval rating of 22% while as of today, Obama has a Zogby approval rating of 44%.

That would be a 20 point spread.

Since you're playing with numbers, let's get them even more right:

Gallup did a weekly average of all polls, including Zogby's numbers, and the correct percentage is 43%

with a + or - accuracy range of 3%, that observation is insignificant.

FYI. Reuters is at 40%. That is significant and where I got my original number. They apparently cannot be trusted now?

This just makes me sad. I go to a Catholic school and we (obviously) teach evolution and even have a QSA. I don't understand why people don't understand that religion and science can work together, so they chose the one that there is no proof of instead of the one that cannot be untrue.
