Oh, JRB, please don't misunderstand me - I think a GREAT many questions need to be asked - and answers demanded. But, having seen this work, I know - having an awareness of the overall facts, that Mr. Moore is playing fast and loose, and only trying to manipulate thought as much as the radical right is. These issues are for too serious, and have far too many ramifications, to have to resort to this cheap chacanery.
Hmmm. What Mr Moore has done is a very clever eneteraining documentary. And as with all good documentarys it has a point of view. I think the film is brilliant . I had a great time.

I understand the appeal, but as I said, I thought it played VERY fast and loose with what information is available. I believe in using what you have to 'rally the troops,' but misleading them into action comes dangerously close to what we're living with right now.

Michael Moore has said that a team of 20, included a team of lawyers, has vetted every fact in the film. If there was untruth in the FACTS presented you can be sure that there would be lawsuits filed by now. He also states that the opinions and questions are his, and I think that is fairly clear in the film. I hope the film causes people to ask their own questions and look for the answers rather than take what ever is spoonfed them on their television screens that week.
Moore has never been sued over facts. In fact, his books and films have only brought 2 lawsuits: 1 he won and the other regarding a privacy issue in Columbine (the brother of the Oklahoma terrorist sued).
If you don't like his opinions, fine. But the film is factually secure.
But sadly sometimes people have the truth right in front of their faces and still refuse to ackowledge it. If Bush gets re-elected we will be showing the world how stupid americans can be.
