i could come in the afternoon, but i think im planning my own shindig for dinner that night.
id prefer a pay for whatever you eat scheme as opposed to a minimum. oh and wheelchair accessible would be good too...
All things being equal, I prefer the pay as you go for whatever you eat or drink option. A fixed price might discourage people from stopping by if they can only stay for a short while.

Very true.
The pay-as-you-go method keeps things looser, and is easier to manage.
Next goal: to find someplace that would welcome a disparate group of folks dropping by.
You missed my question.
When's the latest we can RSVP?

Emcee, I thought I addressed your particular question earlier (see below), but perhaps I could have been more clear.
As I see it now, once the place is decided, folks can simply drop by within the hours posted. So there is no need to actually RSVP. The fact that you're interested is sufficient to give me an idea of the level of interest. So far, over 30 BWW folks have expressed their desire to participate. Perhaps there might be a Bway star or two to drop by as well.
More to come. Jose'
March 20, NYC, in the afternoon

At this juncture there is no cut-off time.
This might be a very loose event, i.e., just show up.
I am speaking with several restaurant managers about some options that might be open to a party of 25 or so.
I'll have more info later this week.
Maybe sure when you book it that they don't card.
Alright, just making sure it's not really strict. I may not be able to know where I'll be until the day before or something, but be that the case I still might want to drop by.
Nicely done, munk.
Is this a sit down dinner thing? It's always very hard to socialize at things like that, why not just make it at a bar?
I might be in Chicago that weekend, but if I am in NY, I'll stop by.
Only if we can sing at Marie's.And if Eddie sings with me. But i am under 18 so shoot.Ha ha ha.
I will have to take a rain check.
How about never.
Float-
Leave you camera at home.
Well count me out.
I am not going DP. So have a blast.
I would not even go if Musto was there and wore his pink jacket.
I would not go if Jeff Marx sang a duet with Harris.
I would not go if Gerard Alessandrini did a tap dance on DP's head.
LOL. Well then maybe i would go.
Then i would bring a kazoo and sing tip toe through the tulips.
HA HA HA.
Well then it should be 21 and up.
Some one wants to be begged into coming!
If what you say is true why do you care if it's 21 and up?
I have a feeling you won't miss this for the world, cameras or no cameras.

Well if photos are taken and later posted you can always obscure the person's face by placing a black bar across their eyes.
What? Is this get together going to be at a "black" bar? They have those in New York? I'm confused.

This is NOT "a sit down thing."
It will simply be a gathering at a Times Square area watering hole so that folks can meet and greet, and put a face to a name (if they want to). I'm told that some are coming with brown bags on their heads, but no matter.
While some of you believe I am ogre, please know that this get together is open to all. A hearty welcome to all BWW members (and their parents ) who care to drop by.
That welcome even goes to the BWW member who left a rude nuisance phone message on my business voice mail at 1:37am this morning. We both know who you are.
I'll be posting the location soon, and I'll try to send a PM to everyone who has expressed an interest in dropping by.

Also...
If you would like a brown bag, but forget to bring one with you, we'll a few handy with the eye hole pre-cut as well as a hole for the straw.
Sorry Sueleen,
I already have plans on that date. I don't want anyone to beg. I can't go.

I will be missing this by ONE day! Ugh! I get to NYC On the 21st! The 20th is my birthday! So I had to stay in LA until the 21st.
Liam, you are "meating" us. Gee, that sounds interesting. Do we get slapped with meat?
AWWWw shucks folks, unfortunately, my godchild's wedding shower is that day at 1:30 p.m. It is down the Jersey shore so there is no way I can make it. Have a drink on me!!!!!!!!!
And I would just like to say "thank you" to Jose for arranging this. It's not an easy thing to do, and someone always ends up being unhappy with the arrangements. So no matter what they turn out to be, thanks, Jose!

Hmmm....what part of your anatomy shall prop up our drinks on, gentle lady?

Belly up to the bar boys!

Broadwaylady's most salient feature is not her belly. No, they're a bit further north.
Don't know if this is still being asked, but I too feel it should definitely be a pay as you go thing. And also, bar-wise, I'm sure there would be definitely be some of us like myself between 18-21, so that would be a bar problem.

Unfortunately I will be busy, but just out of curiosity, what is your obsession with board members being over 18? I'd love to meet some BWWers under 18!!
I'm not certain, Ebonic, but I believe it may have something to do with Megan's Law.
