I dont understand why they changed it so much. I think the show would translate perfectly onto film. I was almost unable to watch this movie. The only part I liked was the first song with all the people auditioning.

One of the biggest mistakes "What I Did For Love" turned into a sex ballad.

Also notice that you never actually see Audrey Landers dance.

I love it for the fact that Vicki's in it, and when I was younger (when it came out) I would dance around the house pretending I was Sheila....

However, if you look at in comparison to the show, it's an awful movie.

I will admit to owning two copies of the VHS (one autographed lmao) and a copy of the DVD though.

I wasn't allowed to see it when I was little because my parents said it was a "disgrace next to the Broadway production" so I never had the desire to see it after that.
