A Cat Question!

I have 5 cats (4 boys and 1 girl) all completely declawed and sterilized.
However...at least once or twice a day. The two oldest males will get together for interesting behavior. One will make a "different" meow than usual and then the other will come and get on top of him kinda bite his neck. They do it laying down too and one will "make biscuits" on the others back.
Sometimes they change roles.
Anyways, has anyone ever seen this type of behavior? What is it and what should I make of it?

Except that it's not really a fighting type of thing.
My roommate says it is something to do with dominance over the other one.

Cats will lightly bit each other (or their human) as a sign of love- kind of like their way of hugging.

Posted: 7/6/09 at 3:34pmMy female is the dominant sibling (spayed/neutered, so the gender roles can be blurred.) She cleans her brother, then will bite his neck...sometimes she walks by and bites his leg for no reason. It's like she says, "get up ya fatass!" They're just loving each other. If one were unhappy or being hurt, you'd know it! I wouldnt worry about it at all.

It's a sign of establishing themselves as the leader of the pack.
Or...maybe they are just pissed that you declawed them and they want to make a mess for you to clean up. I know I'd be pissed if someone cut my fingers off at the first knuckle.

Dan,
Your dog was waving a flag for the 4th. He's gay.
Now my cats are straight, but they say MTVMan's cats are gay.
You'll have to take it up with them.

Diva, he wasn't WAVING it. He was retrieving it. He's a retriever.

"Retrieving" is just sophisticated "fetching". Your dog is either 1) urban elite or 2) gay or 3) both.
I owned a poodle in the city, so I know.

Rather than starting a new thread I'll just post this here.
Has anyone ever had a cat have trouble walking after receiving a shot? My cat, Storm, got a shot late last week and on Friday was found to be limping. She's walking flat on one of her hind legs. Anyone who has cat knows that they have two joints in their legs and they walk on the first one. Well, Storm is walking on the second one. I took a picture of it but don't have access to it from work. At first the vet thought it might be a reaction to the shot but now she won't say anything other than the limp may be permanent. Storm isn't running or jumping anymore. She just seems really sad.
Add this to Storm's previously discovered UTI and my other cat, Luna, having blood in her bladder and I'm an unhappy "mommy".

Is Storm your older Cat?
Most of the time they get shots in their neck right? I think I might have seen that happen a time or two after a cat has got a shot in its leg...but I don't know what to say.
I can say that the vet told me that with my older cats that it was probably better NOT to get them rabies shots since ALL 5 are strictly indoor cats. I seem to remember her reason why having something to do with their age...I can't remember if the reason was that they don't heal as fast or not though.

Storm is 4 and Luna is 10.
I wasn't present when Storm got the shot nor was the Vet. She said she was going to find out if the shot was given in the leg. But now she's not saying anything nor is she giving any more shots.
