Awww...that is so sad.

Get another opinion.

My dog had something like hypoglycemia (I think it was determined as) and the vet gave her a shot to try to help her and she had to be put to sleep two days later. I'm convinced that the shot lead her to an early death.

Your cat looks like my Lovey.

Get all your vet records copied ASAP and go to another vet and get her checked.

I hope everything's okay.
