There were some good parts, but most was dreadful. I think the worst part was the lyrics. Most were amateur. "Link by Link" sounded as if it was written by someone in high school. Menken did a good job on the music, though.
I'm going to say the direction sucked and leave it at that.

See, I like the lyrics and the music. It just felt so "stagey" on tv. I don't even know if that makes sense.
But if I ever had the chance to see it live, I would in a heartbeat.

Posted: 12/25/07 at 1:25amMy friend and I saw it every year for its' 10 year run. A tradition I miss every year since it ended. We always looked forward to see who would be playing Scrooge each year. I miss it.
