A Christmas Carol the musical?

Is the musical version with Kelsey Grammer the same music that is used in the stage version?

re: A Christmas Carol the musical?

Yes, though there were some revisions made to the stage version after the orginal cast recording was released and the movie soundtrack reflects those changes.

I like the music, but that tv movie is just awful. I'm sure it was much better on stage.

I don't know why people say that. I love the TV version

There were some good parts, but most was dreadful. I think the worst part was the lyrics. Most were amateur. "Link by Link" sounded as if it was written by someone in high school. Menken did a good job on the music, though.

I'm going to say the direction sucked and leave it at that.

Taz, it was delightful on stage.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

See, I like the lyrics and the music. It just felt so "stagey" on tv. I don't even know if that makes sense.
But if I ever had the chance to see it live, I would in a heartbeat.

My friend and I saw it every year for its' 10 year run. A tradition I miss every year since it ended. We always looked forward to see who would be playing Scrooge each year. I miss it.
I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2.
