oh happy day!!

I wouldn't have been so sure if it weren't for the "your momma would want to do me" crack. But that confirmed it - Hello, Rodney!

Two things.

Gotham, THAT DOESN'T EVEN SCAN PROPERLY!!! I mean...if you're gonna appropriate a showtune to sing the praises of Bush, MAKE IT SCAN!!

F*ck Blue District America? Fine...can we have the money back that we send to your poor, toothless, dumbf*ck neighbors?

Thanks...a bank check will be fine.

If I could make it scan properly, I'd be writing Forbidden Broadway instead of posting on an internet theater board. I'm sorry but not all Republicans have the musical theater gene.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

oh happy day!!

Oh goody, Papa is quoting show lyrics.
Here's another one:

And all you have to do
Is move your little finger,
Move your little finger and-
You can change the world.

Why should you be blue
When You've your little finger?
Prove how just a little finger
Can change the world.

That tune keeps running in my head. Not that I would want to see it happen - I wouldn't wish that on anyone - but there are a lot of nuts out there, and a lot of anger.

I find this day to be very interesting. No matter who he is and how much I hate him, he is out president and this day is a big one for our country.

IMO, it's an embarrassing day for this country! Ushering in four more years of idiocy at a cost of $40 million! At least other administrations had the decency and good taste to tone it down during wartime.

and making DC pay for a huge chunk of it out of their homeland security funds.

Not only is this a slap in the face to the electorate that voted 90% against him, it shows quite the contradictions:

You don't REALLY need homeland security funds (the threat isn't as bad as we've made it sound) and even though we are at war and people are dying, let's party! Because I am KING OF AMERICA!

Shrubya Sux! And, you happy Bushies are going to regret him one day.

DAY OF GLOOM

Kept it simpler. As is our history.

And, let's be real. That security isn't for terrorism as much as it is to keep protests from unprettying Shrubya's parade--like last time.

Turn on the TV. The police are blocking the protesters so that Bush doesn't have to face the other half of his nation.

I just never thought I would see a pile of sh!t on parade twice in my lifetime--but just like in 2001, we will today.

I just wonder if there will be as many eggs.

DAY OF GLOOM

Why are people so concerned about an inauguration? I thought two and a half months would be long enough to digest reality.
#45

DAY OF GLOOM

Because half of this country does not support this event today and some of us want to express our feelings about it.

Do you REALLY think that we are going to stop protesting this man because he "won" an election?

They wanted 4 more years and that is exactly what they are going to get.

But what does that mean? What would you have done? Exactly what? That's what I want to know. How would you have kept it simple, and why would you have kept it simple?
