And their parody of "THE KING AND I"! The entire show was devoted to it!
"Louis, my penis belongs on stage!"
"If you wanna do a bad show, then why don't you just do RENT?"
I love Family Guy sooooo much. My BF turned me onto it. I want to marry Peter. And Stewie. And Brian. And Quagmire.
(I know those people just listed are a idiot, a maniac baby, a dog, and a sex maniac, but I still love them.)
Finally, a Family Guy thread, and I was GONE?!?!?!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Family Guy is incredible and amazing and WAH!
"Lois, 'Who's The Boss' is not a food!"
"Swing and a miss..."
I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard the movie was scrapped when they found out the show would be having a new season. they wanted to use the material they had written for the movie in the new episodes. anyone confirm?
here's something amazing about Family Guy- the genius behind the show, the humor, the 3 main male voices, and the musical references, Seth MacFarlane, is only 31 years old! Which means Family Guy premiered when he was only 26!
"Are you sure it was a book you read, Peter? You sure it wasn't nothing?"
"I wash my face, then drink beer, then I weep. Say a prayer and induce insincere self-abuse, till I'm fast asleep"- In Trousers
Seth MacFarlane modeled the character of Stewie after Rex Harrison. I love when Seth sings on the show, he is actually really good. For me, nothing beats a good baritone. I went to www.imdb.com and it says it is still under production but I don't know how up to date that is and I don't want to give anyone's hopes up. BroadwayMonkey, you will have to fight with me over who gets to marry Brian. Actually, I'd rather Seth himself. If I weren't 14 years younger I would be all over that.
"Holy Crip, It's a crapple!"- Peter
"The only British idium I know is that 'fag' means cigarette" -Cleveland
"Sheesh, will someone tell this cigarette to shut up?"- Peter
LoveofLea, we shall have to share him. I luurrvvve him too much.
I love when Peter drives into the Winter Garden and kills one of Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS. "Oh my God! I am so sorry!"
yeah! there are a lot of jokes and references in Family Guy geared specifically toward us crazy theatre folk. there's William Shatner playing Tevye. There's Stewie's fantasy versions of Oliver and HMS Pinafore. I can't remember the context but there's even a Leslie Uggams joke somewhere in the series. Now THAT you never see!
"I wash my face, then drink beer, then I weep. Say a prayer and induce insincere self-abuse, till I'm fast asleep"- In Trousers
"You! You are the worst thing to happen to theater since Andrew Lloyd Webber! And you...I just don't like you."- Stewie
I might be wrong, but the Leslie Uggams bit was when Peter confused her for Lola Falana. She shouts, "I'm not Lola, I'm Leslie Uggams!" and throws a vase at him. And I think they actually got Leslie to play herself.
And I just about died laughing from the CATS joke. Hilarious!!
that's right, the Lola Falana bit! what episode was that, anyone? man, what a perfect cartoon.
"So let's go see the USA! They'll treat ya right unless you're black or gay, or Cherokee....."
"I wash my face, then drink beer, then I weep. Say a prayer and induce insincere self-abuse, till I'm fast asleep"- In Trousers
"Great job, rookie!"
"You're a real credit to the force!"
"Additional generic cop compliment, Brian!"
Does anyone know when new episodes will air? I cna't wait!
No idea...but I'm horribly excited!
Peter: Okay, here's another riddle. A woman has two children. Now a homicidal maniac tells here she can only keep one. Which one does she let him kill?
Brian: That's....that's not a riddle. That's just terrible.
Peter: Wrong, the ugly one!
I think they are supposed to start airing them sometime in January but don't quote me on that. I just watched the "The King and I" episode and they made fun of Miss Saigon too. They had this one director dressed up as Kim singing "blah blah blah blah Miss Saigon. Blah blah blah blah Miss Saigon!" I almost peed my pants laughing. As for sharing Brian with BroadwayMonkey, its kinda silly to be fighting over a dog. . . So I'll just take him off your hands.
BLAST!
I looked it up and it says it says different things at different sources. It will return sometime between December 2004 and sometime in the summer of 2005.
I love this show! I only own the third season but have seen most of the first two. Favorite 3rd season episode is ROAD TO EUROPE.
"What's your fat arse doing here?"
- "He's my only mean of conveyance, but I guess I spoil him."
"Clearly. And what are you doing here?"
I love Stewie. I can't convey the way he says it here, but this line cracks me up.
"You're, you're, doin gooooood."
"You want ice cream?" (shakes head)"You want McDonalds?" (shakes head)"You want to crap in Miss Maggies shoes?" (nods head)"Lets go crap in Miss Maggies shoes."
I could go on all day.
Matt, not sure if your question was ever answered but Seth said he's going to take the first 4 episodes of the new season and incorporate all kinds of new stuff into them and release them on DVD as a "movie" soon after they air on FOX so fans aren't left hanging for a new DVD release any longer. They are not doing a feature length film though. And since the show will be on for 3 more years, I'll take 66 new episodes over a movie ANY DAY!
This show is so much better, in every way, shape and form, than The Simpsons or South Park
Lea- No. The fight over this dog will continue until he is all mine.
SticktoPriest- Totally. Absolutely. Positively. Undeniably.
Prepare to meet your doom, BroadwayMonkey, for I will fight to the death! Have at you!
TICKLE FIGHT!!
Fox is going to run a mini-marathon of episodes starting tonight and going until next Wednesday. Happy day!!
(Curls up in a ball while monkey tickles her then smacks Monkey with a pillow) Now its a pillow fight!
