I saw SWING KIDS. I thought the whole point was that the Nazis WOULDN'T LET THE KIDS DANCE because Jazz was "evil American Music" or something.
The way you tell it, it sounds like a scene from THE PRODUCERS! :)
P.S. Kenneth Branaugh's "German" accent was about as realistic as Colonel Klink's on HOAGEN'S HEROES.
