According to CNN website, it happened in 2003.
I saw something about this on the bottom of the screen while I was at the gym, but I didn't know who they were talking about.

Add him to the list of liars and cheaters!
..and slept with Madonna.
Sigh. In between Bale, Lupone, and Etta James, my pearls are just plum clutched out with "offended outrage". Wake me til the next one.
For lack of a hyphen, this thread title made me laugh so hard I peed myself.

And A-Rod (hyphen in place!) is being smeared for his man-crush on Jeter!
What a sad life he leads!

You forgot Phelps.

It's VER klempt, but in Yiddish, you are allowed to be far, or fare, or fah
PJ, wheaties work wonders.
According to Yahoo website, A Rod now admits he took them from 2001 to 2003
It is no longer an unsubstantiated rumor. Spring training should be fun . Stay tuned kiddies.
Am i to assume that Schmerg doesn't know a hyphen from a hymen?
Erm, I meant, that since the title didn't have a hyphen, it looked like it said, "A Rod Tested Positive For Steroids," and I was thinking, "...whose rod?"
So, yeah, I'm still a bit filthy-minded, just not... quite so much as you thought.
His apology:
"And I did take a banned substance and, you know, for that I'm very sorry and deeply regretful. And although it was the culture back then and Major League Baseball overall was very - I just feel that - You know, I'm just sorry. I'm sorry for that time. I'm sorry to fans. I'm sorry for my fans in Texas. It wasn't until then that I ever thought about substance of any kind, and since then I've proved to myself and to everyone that I don't need any of that."
I guess he had no choice but to admit it at this pernt.

you notice Madonna is not in the picture anymore... I think his A-Rod has diminished - Madonna only hangs out with the big boys!!!
"It was such a loosey-goosey era. To be quite honest I don't know what substance I was guilty of using. I'm guilty of being negligent, naive, not asking the right questions. I don't know exactly what substance I was guilty of using."
"Loosey-goosey"? Mmm...

Number one, I don't know why anyone is acting surprised. Doesn't surprise me a bit.
Second, would someone like to legitimately explain to me why these people earn millions upon millions of dollars a year to play a stupid game, when the rest of us struggle and scrape just to get by, and are happy if we make close to $30,000 a year? It is absolutely mind-boggling, and completely unnecessary. Not one thing that sports players do is worth a million dollars. Anyone can learn to hit a ball with a bat, or pass a football. It's not worth millions of dollars.
Schmetrg, that was my point in the first place, you were just too thick to figure it out.

Because people pay to watch them play and they're entitled to a percentage of that payment. Don't blame the athletes blame the people who buy the tickets.
