Posted: 10/19/05 at 11:53pmI have a video clip of Jessie's "I'm so excited!" spaz out and had it as my away message. I've never had so many people leave messages to comment about my away message before, it was hilarious.

That may or may not have been the scene I re-created at a cappella auditions three years ago...(they asked for a hidden talent)
Remember that time we snuck out to see ET? And we were riding home on our bikes? It was so dark...
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

That is so going to be my scene for my final presentation for my acting class.
Or not.
Nevertheless, brilliant
Thanks, Mr. Midwest

Posted: 10/20/05 at 10:50amThat will forever be the first thing anyone thinks of when Saved by the Bell is mentioned. I know people who never even watched the show and know about "the one with the pills" and then you have remind them, they're not just any pills...

While I agree that the very powerful "Anti-Caffeine Pills, pro-cheating" message needs to be heard by kids everywhere, to me the MOST SPECIAL episodes of SBTB were the "SLATER in a WRESTLING SINGLET" episodes. Some one in the upper echelon of NBC obviously knew how many gay men set the alarm for Saturday mornings just to see what Slater would be wearing this week and whoever came up with the idea of Slater going out for wrestling should get a Peabody award.
They would pack Mario Lopez into a single two sizes too small and send him out to do his scene. The poor boy would almost constantly be adjusting his package and obviously felt like a piece of meet (Which he was-- and still is!)
AH well, thanks for this pleasnat start to the day-- You stay up with your caffeine pills, Jessie, I'll stay up cheering on Slater!!

What about "City Boys"? Anyone ever notice that the last names of the two girls on the show were "Guliani" (after the mayor) and "Tartikoff" (after the head of NBC)?

The only thing I remember about SBTB was the episode about the horrors of pollution, complete with a hallucinogenic view of the future where teens made out by the sea with gas masks on and Jessie was a cracked-out mermaid.
Made me put plastic in the blue bins, I'll say that much.
