A Walk To Remember : Worst Acting In A Movie Ever?

I just started trying to finish this movie, which I started nearly 2 years ago. I now remember why I turned it off last time.

Shane West is about the worst actor ever. This movie has an awful script.

For a movie that so many people love, it sure is...bad.

Anyone else agree?

I do enjoy Mandy Moore's "Only Hope."

Only Hope is a good song. That's about the only decent part of the movie so far.

West's "acting" is seriously what gets me. He speaks in a monotone voice that's very deep the entire movie. He's very...whisper-y. SO annoying.

I actually love this movie. Is the acting mediocre? yes. Is the script cheesy? yes. Does it give me false hopes about love? yes. And I'm okay with that... every girl needs a little delusion in her life, right? Not to mention that I absolutely love the actual novel. I definitely imagined it to be a lot better in my mind actually.

To sum all that up in one sentence: a walk to remember is one of THE biggest guilty pleasures in my life.

I haven't seen the movie since I was in my teens but I do recall watching the movie ready to hate Mandy Moore and being thoroughly impressed by her. She can actually act. I don't remember anything about the rest of the cast though.

I enjoyed the movie although I haven't seen it in years. I do remember it had boring moments and some things were drawn out.
