A couple of questions about Netflix

So, recently, my family got a fifty inch HDTV and Blu Ray player. We were thinking about signing up for Netflix as well. But, there are a couple of questions about it that are still looming around.
We had an account with them a few years ago. At that point, it was simple, we got three DVDs out at a time from them and more kept coming from our queue when we returned them. We had stopped using their services due to the fact that we just got busy, and never had the same time for the DVDs as we did when we started.
But, now that we have this new TV set up, we feel that we would get more use out of it now considering the fact that we can stream via our Blu Ray player. I was just browsing the Netflix site, and in my search, some of the movies that I searched only said thing only available on DVD or on DVD and Blu Ray. I was just wondering, are the streaming titles not as expansive ad they make it seem?
And, I live and work upstate. We were thinking about using the DVDs we get through them being sent to me. Is it possible to change the mailing address from the billing address? The two would not be one in the same.

(At least they didn't offer them up to the point I closed my Netflix account last summer) There are still good movies to be seen instantly. I was just ordering movies for someone on their account and I like that they now seperate the DVD's from the instant plays so you don't have to sift through your queue.

Posted: 1/29/11 at 9:28amWatch Instantly options are very extensive, and still growing. They don't have the latest releases available, but if you browse the Watch Instantly section directly, you'll find a lot to choose from. I have 140 movies on my queue, all different varieties. Some studios have nearly their entire catalogs available, like BBC, Showtime and Starz. It's especially good for watching TV shows; instead of adding 6 discs to my queue and watching only 3 episodes at a time, I can watch entire seasons back-to-back. Netflix has a new plan available just to watch instantly, so there are plenty of people who actually prefer it to getting DVDs in the mail.

Posted: 1/29/11 at 10:20amI have the combination - two discs out and the instant streaming. My disc queue is a lot longer than my streaming, but there are a lot of movies and TV shows that are available on both. The advantage to the streaming is that you're not tied to a certain movie when it comes up on your queue - you can watch whatever whenever. That's a HUGE plus for me. We've had the fourth disc in Leonard Bernstein's Young People's Concerts at home for over a month now - just haven't found a time we wanted to sit down and actually watch it, but we've watched several movies on streaming in that time.

I think you should have a combination of both dvd/bluray and streaming. Some you can only get in one format. For example, I recently watched "The Pumpkin Eater" with Anne Bancroft on streaming because it wasn't available on disc. However, on streaming I don't think you get any of the extras that they put on dvds like deleted scenes, commentary, etc.
The streaming titles are available for only a limited time and then they go away.
Also remember that Netflix is barred by the movie studios from getting any new titles within the first month of release.
You might also want to see about renting streaming videos from iTunes. That's how I watched Season 2 of "Gavin & Stacey" because Netflix didn't have it.
