I think it's too little to late. I lost all respect for him when he said those things.

He was one of my favorite sex symbols until he bashed Brooke.
I think it takes a big man to apologize (Even if he is short)

I have a thing for short men, maybe because I am short!

Report: Film boss' wife got Cruise sacked
Saturday, August 26 2006, 21:24 BST - by Dave West

Tom Cruise was dropped by Paramount Pictures because his views angered the wife of the producer's boss, according to a report.

Sumner Redstone, 83, the chairman of Paramount's parent company Viacom, sacked Cruise on Wednesday – citing his erratic behaviour.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, Hollywood insiders have discovered that it was the influence of his 43-year-old wife, Paula Fortunato, which tipped the balance.

She took a disliking to Cruise, who follows the controversial Scientology cult, when he criticised actress Brooke Shields for using post-natal anti-depressants on television, according to the reports.

"These drugs are dangerous," the actor said on a chat show. "I have actually helped people come off them."

His views apparently prompted Fortunato to tell her husband: "I never want to see another Tom Cruise movie again."

Viacom spokesman Carl Folta told a New York newspaper: "It is true that Mrs Redstone disagrees with Tom Cruise's views, but she and Mr. Redstone see every Paramount film."

re: A trend starting?

Many, Many, Many, people have lost all respect for Tom after those comments about Brooke Shield's. He is just saying he's sorry about this because he got dropped from Paramount. Before he said those comments he, should have actually been done some research or been around someone with postpartum depression. When I heard Katie was pregnant I wanted her to get postpardum depression(i know it sounds bad) so Tom would have regreted making those statments. I'm glad MI3 did bad in comparision to the other MI movies.

Yeah, that's really sweet. Make the woman suffer while he makes her suffer even more. WTF?
