AIM Broadway

Anyone else a geek like me and use Broadway as away messages for AIM (or other instant messengers)? What are some you use? (specifically sleeping, I cant come up with one for that... lol)

I just put random songs and it doesn't really matter what time

I usually put a lyric from a song that im listening to at that moment. which most of the time its a showtune.

ALL THE TIME. It's funny, though. I mean, I use song lyrics that have something to do with where I am, or what I'm doing, or how I'm feeling - my mom uses AIM to talk to me now, since I'm away at school, and a lot of times she'll whine about how my away messages are too long. I tell her it's up to her to figure them out.

I use them all the time too. But it doesn't usually go along with what I'm doing, just the mood I'm in.

ALL THE TIME i use them. and sometimes, just to piss off my friends, i don't write what show its from and they have to guess (they arent as broadway obsessed as I am). yeah, a mini-game we play. pretty sad.

But alot of (well most of) my away messages are quotes from songs that apply to whatever I am doing. If I am having dinner I use this from Cabaret "Rat tat a tat on the window (on the window?) Who's there? (hunger!) OH! hunger!!"

I tend to use a lot of song lyrics -- both Broadway and not.

Some of my favorites are:

They aren't Broadway but I use,
"When I'm worried and I can't sleep,
I count my blessings instead of sheep,
And I fall asleep counting my blessings.

The other is,
Pale moon shining on the fields below,
Folks are crooning soft and low,
Needn't tell me so because I know,
It's sleepy time down South.

I used to use lyrics from A Tale of Two Cities all the time to tell people where I was at but I don't do that as much anymore.

My current out message is:
"You wanna prowl? Be my night owl, take my hand we're gonna HOWL! Take me out tonight!" and I used to have more Rent stuff that I need to put back up.

The one I use for my Activities Board stuff is from Jackson Browne's "The Load-Out":

All of my away messages are Broadway- I have ones from RENT, TABOO, ZANNA DON'T!, AIDA, PIPPIN, CABARET, and SCARLET PIMPERNEL. And my icon is Adam Pascal as the Emcee. And my s/n is Broadway related, too.

Ah, AIM icons. Mine is switching photos of Adam; one as Emcee, that one from the "Full Frontal" article and one from the old Adelphi concert. I have been on a mission for like a year to come up with a new musical-themed screenname. That didn't go well...
