This stupid virus has returned (that is, if it ever was gone)
Be careful and DON'T CLICK ANY LINK until you ask the person that IMed you if they are sure that it is ok to click.
If you happen to click it, immiediately close AIM and set your computer date to an earlier time.

Ugh, I have gotten numerous of these things. I never click on them though. Definately restored the comp. the first time I WAS stupid enough to click it. I hate virus's. Tis like...get a hooby. *mutters* Jerks....
The best thing to do though, it tell the friend whom you got it from. They might not know. I didn't know I had it myself 'til a friend told me.

For all those who have Windows XP...I have the solution to your problem!
Here are the steps to take if you have recieved this or any other virus.
1. Find the icon on your desktop or in your programs menu that says "Repairs", or something along the line of "Repairs" (I think it might be "System Recovery". The icon has a wrench with a CD-Rom next to it on it.
2. Open the program.
3. For the first window, click next. However, for the next window, you have two options. You can make recovery discs that store all of your data for today's date, or you can continue. I usually continue, but it's your decision on what to do. I'm not sure what happens next if you make the discs, but if you continue, go on to the next step.
4. Yet again in the next window you have two options. Either a.) Get walked through the steps or b.) Go to the advanced options. Unless you're a computer wizard, walk through the steps.
5. The next window also gives you two options. Click on the first option unless the system restore didn't work for you.
6. Next, the smaller window will close, and a bigger one will open. You have three options. I recommend clicking on the first option, which is "Restore my computer to an earlier point".
7. Then, you will be taken to a calendar of all the days you've spent on your computer. Click on the earliest possible date that is in bold (I recommend going back three to five days).
8. When you have selected your date, click next. The next window is just a little warning asking/telling you, "Are you sure you want this date?" If you want it, close all open programs on your computer, and click next.
Last, your computer will sort of log itself off. All you need to do now is keep yourself occupied for a while (usually 10-20 minutes) while your computer fixes your problems.
When your computer is done, it will shut down for about two seconds and shut on. Then, your computer will be healed!
*pant* That was a lot, I know. But it helps, trust me!
