Last years group would have handled broadway tunes much better. In that crop you had Character type singers (Amy, JPL) and real vocalist that could be on broadway (Jennifer Hudson, Latoya London)

For those of you that did not cath Paula on the Tonight Show.. my guess is that she was definitely on something. And I am not just kidding or being catty. We don't get this show here for another 2 hours.. but I think I am going to have to sedate myself.

Naida impressed me so much tonight. I never liked her until now; I thought she did a very good job.

On Leno, paula seemed like she was under medication. It was... interesting.
Grace: I just gave a quarter to a homeless man. I think it was Johnny Depp.

re: AMERICAN IDOL Tonight - Classic Musicals

I feel like most of them picked really well known, oversung songs. Some were good, unfortunately I'd have to say my love Anthony has gotten progressively worse, and I may have to stop voting for him. I thought Carrie was really awesome, Vonzell was pretty good, and so was Nadia even thought she looked like she was dying. The Impossible Dream really is impossible, I wanted to cry for him.

I don't understand the judges either... Bo's version was absolutely terrible and pop-sounding, yet Randy praises him. I don't get it at all. And Paula is on some heavy meds... or heavy Jack Daniels...
What is Broadway? A street? Some say it's a street. Some say it is the best street in the world. Others think its terrible. That's the beauty of it, it's terribly beautiful. Some hate it and don't know why. Others love it and don't know why. That's what makes it so wonderful, it's a mystery.

"Not up to Broadway".........That's an understatement. Hopefully next week will prove worth watching.

IMO, Nadia steals the shows. She was excellent. Too bad she's not a favorite of the judges. Their not drooling all over themselves the way they do for Anwar, Carrie, Bo, and even Scott, will be Nadia's downfall.

re: AMERICAN IDOL Tonight - Classic Musicals

I thought Nadia gave a classy, classic performance, until the end. She sounded like she had a cold or something. She just didn't have the notes, to really sell the end. She had the best presentation, though.

American Idol does not do well for me. What was with the contemporary Sound of Music? MAKE IT STOP

I couldnt handle it. I watched Gilmore Girls instead.

Yes, list of who sang which song, please.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I never watch AI, but tonight was not a good time to start!

Climb Ev'ry Mountain was skewered. And "Corner of the Sky"...oh god. Oh god.

*buries face in hands*

Why did I watch? Why did I suffer?

Nadia wasn't bad, I'm with Kellie - she was doing fine, and then *eek*
