ASSASSINS

Hey guys. Thanks for the help choosing a song for Cabaret audition which is in a couple days.
Next week is an audition for ASSASSINS. I know it's Sondheim but I am not as familiar with the music so I'm trying to get acquainted with it.
As for audition songs, I'm a mezzo so I was thinking either:
Maybe I Like it This Way from The Wild Party
or
Somewhere That's Green from Little Shop.
Are either of these approriate for the show? Can you guys think of any other songs or shows to pick from? Thanks so much!

I'm not familiar with The Wild Party, but I don't think Somewhere That's Green is really appropriate. The 2 female roles in the show aren't that vocally demanding, so you'd probably be better off choosing something that shows off your acting ability.

I agree that the female characters in Assassins (which, by the way, is a fantastic and amazing piece) are much more about characterization than vocal range. Definitely choose a character song. Sing it well, but act it out like crazy.
