The first two seasons are great, but then it starts sliding downhill. My personal fave is Forty - Edina's Fortieth Birthday party. When Saffron slaps Edina....

Actually Patsy and Edina are what me and my friend, Christine are going to end up as one day. Our fate has already been stated.

I ADORE this show! Have any of you seen French & Saunders? Also hilarious.

And, yes, British COUPLING is hilarious. British QAF is better, too.

Margo - you and joeyjoe have a lot in common, it seems! joeyjoe can quote anything from that first season - and often does!

I agree with Mister Matt. First two seasons are total brilliance, but after that, a bit fat pile of ehhhhh...

I think the first episode is the best -- that first interaction on the kitchen between Edina and Saph are comic genius...

Though the characters are funny strictly in the ironic sense, why would anyone want to be like them? The entire point of the show is that they are protaganists with no admirable traits whatsoever.

One of the best shows in the world! I love it as anyone can tell from my name on here. It's hard to pinpoint one fav episode b/c they're all so hilarious, although I do have a soft spot in my heart for the Orgy episode.

Jailyardguy - I was speaking of moral, not material, value. Anna Nicole Smith may be rich and unintentionally hysterical, but I don't admire her.
