I don't think Lambert had complete artistic control for the finale of a talent competition. They probably gave her a trunk of stuff to choose from.

The shoulder pieces were from a show Adam did. The bottom picture is from the show. The two guys are friends.

I would think that he got tons of offers to have costumes designed and he chose an old costume piece.

I actually like them. I just hate the weird stiff barrel shaped vest he wore. It's not a good silhouette.

Nothing wrong w/salt and pepper. I just really hate the way that stripe looks. It's so deliberate...you know she colors and treats the rest of her grays.
