Not sure if this is common knowledge, but at her caberet show tonight at NJPAC with Jason Daniely, Marin Mazzie mentioned that a 20th anniversary Ragtime reunion concert would be happening later this year. By the way, their show was amazing!
I saw yesterday’s matinee and I loved every minute of it, though I must admit to being predisposed in Ambrose’s favor. Would love to see this launch her as a Broadway leading lady on a regular basis.
Usher’s opening night in Chicago. The first audience appreciation performance of Book of Mormon, which was also Josh Gad’s last performance. Dave Malloy in Great Comet. Glenn Close in the revival of Sunset Boulevard.
I’m heading to Chicago this Friday, and I got an incredible rate at the Palmer House, in the Loop. Seeing Beautiful, going to a Bulls game, probably will also see another show. Can’t wait.
The criteria for the Kennedy Center is contribution to American culture. You can argue there are/were better rappers, but his endurance as an actor/host mitigate in his favor. That said, I agree he's a little young. In my opinion, Lionel Ritchie is the weak link in this group.
I always recommend Trattoria Trecolori, on W47th. Great food at very reasonable prices. Gone there several times with different groups, and all have been impressed.
