I don't know if this have been discussed before...
I just heard the first track of adam pascal's new cd, and I like it. It's not a great theme, but to me sounds ok. Maybe sounds too much like "model prisoner", I expected an evolution in his style...

"It's not a great theme"

What do you mean by that? I don't understand what you are trying to say... I'm slow. My computer won't play the song... *grumbles* I've tried a bunch of times, but it won't work.

Still on vacation, but I got a little computer time so I decided to check up on bww. It's a little sad, but I check this website every time I get on the computer before anything else, even my own email.

Oh, I get it now. Glad to see you too. re: Adam Pascal's Civilian

I hope Adam never reads that thread, because he may issue a few restraining orders...

Insomniak... I mean that this is a regular song. It's not nothing original or new. it's the same kind of songs that adam sung in his previous album. I like to hear songs like this, but it's always the same. that's why it's only "ok" and not "great"

Thanks for clearing that up, POL. You would think after four years that his style would evolve, but apparently not.Is his first album all kind of the same stuff? I hate it when I buy a CD and every song sounds the same.

It's too bad, I like him so much on Aida and Rent and kind of on what I've heard of Model Prisoner. I was hoping that this CCD would be really good and get noticed. Updated On: 8/21/04 at 09:43 PM

*sigh*

That sucks... I hate it when I really start liking someone and then I hear they aren't that great.

When does it go on sale? I heard the song and I reallly liked it. And will we be able to buy it in stores, or will I have to order it off Amazon a la Idina and Susan Egan?

What is Broadway? A street? Some say it's a street. Some say it is the best street in the world. Others think its terrible. That's the beauty of it, it's terribly beautiful. Some hate it and don't know why. Others love it and don't know why. That's what makes it so wonderful, it's a mystery.

Really? I thought between "the one who got away" and "undiscovered" there's quite a bit of variety there. I mean, he's not John Lennon, of course re: Adam Pascal's Civilian, but I enjoyed the album. And I also thought vocally, he covers quite a wide range on Model Prisoner. Just my thoughts... =)

I have the cd in my player now... and yes, the whole cd sounds to me the same.
Of course is not totally the same... but his style is very limitated.

With Model Prisoner, the distribution was mainly limited to online sources. I'm not sure if they will have a different deal with Civilian, but if you can, I say get it straight from sh-k-boom. And POL, I guess I'll just have to disagree with your assessment re: Adam Pascal's Civilian. He didn't break new grounds or anything, but I thought in terms of range he covered different styles. Oh, well. Let's see how the rest of Civilian sounds like! :)

Model Prisoner was also available at The Palace Theatre when Adam was in AIDA. When he left, they no longer sold it and when he came back it was available there again. When Adam gets another show (crosses fingers), maybe it will be sold there too. I thought I read somewhere that alot of Sh-K-Boom CD's were available at Borders, also, but I've never checked, so I could be wrong about that.

You should have marched to the stage door and told Adam you wanted a CLEAN copy, dammit!!! And then take a picture of his reaction. re: Adam Pascal's Civilian Don't send the CD to Undiscovered. She's got everything already. re: Adam Pascal's Civilian No fair!!

Were they only selling the signed ones? When I first saw AIDA back in 2001, they had signed and unsigned ($5 more for signed, I think). I bought a signed one, not knowing about hanging around stage doors and getting it signed myself. When I went back in the beginning of July, they only had unsigned ones for sale. I remember reading a story where a girl was waiting to see Adam and was so excited when he came out and got to her, that she asked him to sign her CD booklet and he took it from her, looked at it and said, "sweetie, I already signed it" and then gave her a hug.

May I ask why the fact that it was signed bothered you so much? I would think that would make someone happy.

I don't want my cd's signed... I don't like to write on any cd cover!
I don't care that he is the artist!!!! I want the picture clean!

The day I went to see ragtime in london, a friend of mine asked me to wait maria friedman at the stage door... I went with him, waited, and when maria appeared... she started to talk with us, and then she picked my hand program off my hand... and signed without asking me! I was really freaked out!!!! 10 minutes later dave willets did the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when graham bickley appeared, I almost run off.
I had to enter to the theatre again and pick another hand program.
