I don't want my cd's signed... I don't like to write on any cd cover!
I don't care that he is the artist!!!! I want the picture clean!

The day I went to see ragtime in london, a friend of mine asked me to wait maria friedman at the stage door... I went with him, waited, and when maria appeared... she started to talk with us, and then she picked my hand program off my hand... and signed without asking me! I was really freaked out!!!! 10 minutes later dave willets did the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when graham bickley appeared, I almost run off.
I had to enter to the theatre again and pick another hand program.

I understand because I have the same feelings about CDs. (Writing on books and playbills I'm ok about). Which is why I'm finding this so funny. Updated On: 8/22/04 at 12:31 AM

Okay, I mean no offense here...I'm just trying to understand. Do you find the need to have everything pristine? If the tassles on your rugs at home aren't uniform, do you have a fit? Do you have OCD or something? I'm not making light of this, I think this would be a hellish way to live. I'm just saying if you realize this is such a serious problem, why would you buy it, and upon buying, listening to it, and ulitmately not liking it, why wouldn't you just go sell it on eBay or something? Being a signed copy, I'm sure TONS of other people would find it valuable and would be more than happy to take it off your hands. I'm just sayin...

But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

Whoa... I'm going to make an attempt to get this thread back to topic...

POL, to each his own, I guess. I have CD covers signed, but not actual CD's. I guess I can see how that would be weird.

Anyhoo, Civilian. Sometime in the next month, they say!! I'm seeing Aida this week, so maybe I'll try to probe Adam for some ACTUAL answers. I'm listening to "Beautiful Song" again right now, and I do like it. It took me a while to decide that I did, but I like it. It's a lot like stuff on Model Prisoner, and I heard that most of the CD is in fact very similar to the first one. I adore MP, but it took some time to grow on me, so I'm expecting my reaction to Civilian to be similar. Nonetheless, I'm really excited. Rock on, Adam!

Hi Emcee! Hope your vacation was good.

You must interrrogate Adam about Civilian, we need more information. I'm kinda unsure about it myself... I've heard a little of MP and didn't love it, and if this CD is more of the same, I may pass on it or wait a bit. (Ducks heavy things thrown at her) Sorry, I have ten dollars to my name and that won't last long, so if I'm gonna save for a CD, I want to make sure I love it. Especially if I'm gonna wind up paying for shipping and stuff off Amazon, that will wind up being a lot.

What have you heard of MP? For the most part I love it. Maybe 1 or 2 songs I don't do backflips over, but Cellophane Sun, Model Prisoner, Ordinary Boy, etc. it's great. Sorry you don't care for what you've heard.

The first two songs. Honestly, I haven't heard them many times and it does usually take me quite a while to warm up to any kind of music, so who knows, I may love his solo stuff but I can't really judge fairly. I guess I'm just nervous that it will be bad and I won't like him so much anymore.
