After Downton, Galavant to Galavant

Did anyone catch Galavant last night? It may have been missed in the Downton hub bub (no spoilers of course)..

There was Kylie Minogue totally undressing her BF star Joshua Sasse singing a hot song in a medieval gay disco bar , big production number! I know this is still Alan Mencken but is Disney really giving prime real estate on Funday night?? The mouse is putting on his big boy pants ( and taking off his shirt ) !

Not to mention Downton stars Hugh Bonneville , Sophie McShera and maybe a few others all singing and dancing! I didn't follow this show last year; looks like I've missed something and need to catch up.

Like everyone else last night, my partner, a friend, and I were all watching Downton Abbey live. It was fantastic.

However, I did watch Galavant this morning before work and thought it was a lot of fun. The song in the gay bar was very funny. I also liked the opening number. This show is harmless fun and I enjoy it as we wait for the regular ABC Sunday night lineup to return.

Yes, it was on Sunday night last year, too. I enjoyed the first two episodes of the season. Just as silly and self-mocking as the first season. More obvious Game of Thrones references.

I didn't notice a bad wig, but there was joke in the first season that Galavant's beard always magically stays the same length, but this season it is grown out. I guess it makes sense since he has been at sea for a while, but it makes him slightly (but only slightly) less pretty.
