Bridges of Madison County Reunion Concert Dec 16 2025, 01:14:04 PM
I was there last night as well. Saw it twice on Broadway back in 2014 and LOVED it both times. Last night was magical. Kelli and Steven sounded glorious. How is it possible that Kelli has maintained her voice so incredibly over the past 21 years when I was first introduced to her on a Broadway stage? There really are no words to describe how outstanding "Almost Real" was. She deserves to have at least three Tony awards by now. I love Jason Robert Brown's Tony

CHESS Previews Oct 16 2025, 12:53:01 PM
Just to reiterate what some have said, Lea's "American Idol riffing" last night was definitely minimal and did not take away from the impact of the songs. She sounded great. When I saw the benefit with Lena Hall and Solea Pfeiffer, I thought both of them riffed a bit too excessively. Admittedly, I am partial to Judy Kuhn's perfection on the OBCR.
Nicholas Christopher was really the star last night though. I was truly blown away at how incredible he was. Anthem was

Cats: The Jellicle Ball to Broadway Oct 14 2025, 12:33:32 PM
"Use the pre-sale code see what tickets are available, then click "remove" on the left hand side of your screen. You can still see the available tickets and purchase. In my case the tickets would have been $195 with the code but were $165 without."
Thank you so much for this information. I bought three tickets and this tip saved me $60. Odd that the prices are different with and without the code.

I got a single rush ticket for last night's performance about 10 minutes before curtain. Orchestra, Row H, seat 12. Did not have a problem at the box office at all. Mira, despite some hesitancy in her dancing, won me over by the end. I've seen Chicago 8 times post-pandemic and 23 times overall and it rarely disappoints. I'm glad that they continue to stunt cast Roxie to give us New Yorkers a reason to return. And at $49 a pop, it's always worth it.

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 8/17/25 Aug 19 2025, 06:56:44 PM
"Jeff Ross' show ticket price is the lowest i have ever seen......"
This seems like a good time for me to bring up one of my biggest joys in life - The Blonde in the Thunderbird - which ran from July 8, 2005 through July 23, 2005. I attended the first preview via tdf and was probably the only person in the audience who paid (tdf was probably around $40 at the time).
For the three weeks that this show ran, the average ticket prices were $19.49, $11.02 and $1

Can I permenantly disable audio autoplay when I click on a "latest news" article here? May 30 2025, 05:54:07 PM
I, too, have just noticed this today and really want to know how to disable it. I've already tried a few things in my chrome browser, but nothing seems to work. It is highly frustrating!

Lea Michele, Aaron Tveit, and Nicholas Christopher in 2025 Chess Revival! May 28 2025, 02:55:16 PM
"Someone Else's Story is in this version of the show, but for Svetlana not Florence , and I believe ( but could be wrong so happy to be corrected) the only time Florence has sung it is the original Broadway production. Ever since then it's been given to Svetlana, as in the 2008 London concert and now this production."
Carolee Carmello, as Florence, sang Someone Else's Story in the 1990 touring company. And Judy McLane, as Florence, sang Someone Else's Stor

TAMMY FAYE Reviews Nov 29 2024, 09:35:08 AM
Autumn was originally scheduled to perform on n the Sunday evening, December 8 performance prior to the closing announcement.
Does anyone know which performance she’ll be doing the final week now? I assume Katie will be performing at the final on Sunday night.

Her acting and singing were very good. The audience was definitely with her and supportive of her throughout, which was fantastic to see. Her Roxie monologue was her best number and she sold it extremely well. The dancing left a lot to be desired though - she didn't do all of the choreography in Me and My Baby and her Hot Honey Rag was tentative and it seemed like she relied on her costar a lot instead of having the confidence in herself to pull of the dance moves (which I am sure she is

I attempted to see her on Monday, October 14, but she was out so I got a refund.
Went back this past Tuesday, October 22, and caught her. Looks like I’m lucky to have seen her.
Just for comparison purposes, I believe Pamela Anderson missed zero performances for her entire run, is this correct?

YELLOW FACE Previews Sep 14 2024, 08:55:53 AM
“I wonder how people found some of those FOLLIES performances in 2011 where they testing removing the intermission.”
By my recollection, they only did this for four previews. I attended one of them and it absolutely flew by. Had no problem sitting for that long with no break (probably because the show itself was so engaging). Saw the show probably ten times total and I wish I could see it again tomorrow. An excellent theater memory.

Whoopi Goldberg in ANNIE at MSG? Aug 7 2024, 04:48:58 PM
The initial press release (which was incorrect) said that she would be doing the Chicago run and the NY run. It has since been amended stating that she will only be performing December 11-January 5.
The View will likely be on hiatus during this time period, so it shouldn't affect her schedule there. Normally, she does Monday-Thursday and takes Friday off, when Joy Behar moderates.

Whoopi Goldberg in ANNIE at MSG? Aug 7 2024, 11:40:58 AM
There are a couple of Thursday 11am matinees in December. She'd have to miss The View in order to be at those performances. And yes, I do realize if she's doing the Chicago run, she may be missing multiple tapings of The View in November. But if Whoopi will only be doing select performances, they should probably be announced in advance.

Why did High Fidelity Flop? Jul 2 2024, 05:43:31 PM
Poor Will Chase. I saw High Fidelity twice and loved it. Then, a little over two years later, Will Chase opened The Story of My Life, which only ran a weekend. Saw that gem four times and loved it. It's so rare for shows to have this short a run nowadays. KPOP and Lempicka are probably the only two comparable.

THE WIZ 2024 Broadway Cast Recording Thread Jun 14 2024, 05:00:46 PM
"I still think it’s criminal they didn’t record the Emerald City sequence, it’s some of the best music in the whole show"
This was one of the main reasons why I was excited to hear this album. Supremely disappointing that it was not recorded. Loved that Act 2 opening.

LEMPICKA Reviews May 22 2024, 02:32:48 PM
"How long until we get LEMPICKA: The Reunion Concert! ???"
I know this post was probably half meant as a joke, but I can almost guarantee there would be more interest in this reunion concert than there was for How to Dance in Ohio.

CABARET at the Kit Kat Club Previews Apr 3 2024, 03:05:19 PM
Good question. I had bought my first preview tickets on SeatGeek, but went to the box office to have them printed out prior to the performance. And I purchased my second set of tickets at the box office and had them printed out. The majority of people entering the theater will probably be using their phones as their tickets, which will make them harder to hide in their pockets or bags. I always prefer a printed ticket to a digital ticket because I tape them to the inside of the playbill after
