I think he's hysterical, but his imitation of his mother talking about The Exorcist was the best.

He's always so - for lack of a better word - joyful. He should be on tv because he is fabulous. Joyfully fabulous. Fabulously joyful?

And even though Ugly Betty became positively dreadful, any time he popped up on it he always delivered the goods.

But Friday's episode tapes on Thursday, does it not? They'll probably be there at the same time and I am sure Alec will have something to say.

I adore Alec Mapa. I don't give two sh*ts if you think he's stereotypical because I say you're wrong. He's beautiful and funny and doesn't rely on the old Liza imitations to get a laugh. (Although sticking Bette Davis in random roles is a HOOT! Drink the juice, Shelby!) He doesn't seem like he is putting on a act when he takes the stage. That's him and it's fantastic. I think he seems like a genuinely friendly, wonderful guy and if I judge by the one friend of his I know, he surrounds himself with the same. He's a guy I would want to be friends with. I think that helps "the community." He goes on and on about how normal his marriage is. That's what the haters need to hear. I missed the news about his son. That's fantastic. I love it when an older child gets adopted. (We are applying to be part time foster parents to a 12 year old boy with autism.)

I went to the taping of his co-hosting episode today (which airs Friday, July 30).

Less laugh-out-loud funny than last week, but he was playing host today. Of course he was still funny.

The guests were James Marsden and Patricia Clarkson.
