There was nobody else who even compaired to his performance on the horse!

I was so nervous during his routine last night, but was so happy when he did well.

I was so nervous after Kevin and Raj's performances that I turned the television off for a few minutes. When I turned it back on and heard the cheering for Sasha, I hit rewind and watched his routine!

I think the fact that the event was shown "live" last night, made me even more nervous. The only times I was ever more nervous watching a sporting event was when Michele Kwan used to skate.

Ah, but a 25-minute drive makes stalking so much easier than living in Texas ...

Stalking is not my style. I will just out and out kidnap him! Stalking takes up too much time!

Needless to say, he is the big sports story here today and is the cover story in the sports section of the Denver Post.

As well he should be!

And for the record, I think men's gymnastics should be shirtless as in the photo above. Women's gymnastics, not so much.

That was nerve-wracking, because their chance at a medal literally rested on his shoulders. The pommel horse has long been the American mens' achilles heel, and it looked like it was going to continue after Kevin and Raj's disasters. Artemev pulled through. It was another great Olympic moment, probably my second favorite of the games so far (behind that amazing 4x100 relay the other night).
