She is staring to milk this now.

She did her good deed & now she is trying to make a buck on a very sad situation for all concerned.

A desperate woman selling her story...tacky, but I'd probably do the same thing.

I don't know if I'd do what she's doing, but her future is now pretty tainted, she's been vilified to an extent as being a homewrecker even though she didn't know Scott was married at the time, and I'm sure her side of the story has been mangled and distorted in the media. It's a shame she's making a buck off this - surely one exclusive interview (a la her Dateline appearance) is all we need?

I suppose it is pretty sleazy. To hell with Scott, and I actually don't care that much about Amber either--she's no saint. But I do feel very much for Lacy's family...they are truly innocent. When thinking about how much this book could hurt them, I'd reconsider, and I think Amber should have given this more thought too

Would we really expect her to not milk it?

Amber Frey is a horrible womoan for what she is doing.

Using someone's death to make money. (Only in America)

Though the act of doing what she is doing is indeed not commendable, I wouldn't say she is a "horrible woman" for it.

Her reputation is tarnished and can effect what jobs, if any, she will be able to get in the future.

I don't blame her for trying to make a few dollars off of it, and I bet you would do the same thing.

Do I wish the cirsumstances surrounding it were better and/or didn't happen?
Of course.

But then again, so does she.
She didn't ask to be put in the middle of a murder case, and she didn't know Scott was married.

Seeing her continue to mine her 15 minutes on Today... Gloria Allred -- always looking for a buck herself -- touted her for her bravery and courage. Pu-leeze.

Who is actually going to buy the hardback copy of this damned book? What more does anyone want to know? She didn't know he was a killer. She boinked him. She foound out. End of story. What could fill those pages? I don't get what's so fascinating about this ordinary woman and her 'plight.'

After watching her interview on Oprah, bless her heart. It's so apparent that a ghostwriter wrote this book -- Frey couldn't even answer the simplest question about the content of her tome.

I don't blame her at all, however, for writing a book and promoting it. I'm sure her legal bills are astronomical.

As for Gloria Allred, there's a picture of her in the dictionary beside the term "Media Ho".

I already wish that Amber Frey would just go away.

I hope that she will take Ashlee Simpson, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, William Hung, and Michael Jackson with her. These are all folks that I hope to see and hear LESS from in 2005.

I will read the book because I am sure that Amber Frey has written a literary masterpiece. Her views on life and love will be humorous and enlightening. Her sweet innocence and naievete are refreshing in such a violent world.

please...Everyone just wants to know details about sex with Scott..

Yeah I saw her on the Today show. All I can think of this woman at this point is either she wants to be famous or has some sort of attention problem. Ok she took the book deal, fine, they prolly gave her alot of money. But if she keeps sticking around no one will have any sympathy for her, except the lonely housewives in the red states who don't know any better than to say over and over again, "Oh that poor woman, what she had to go through"

When I first saw her my first thought was "Wow that woman is stupid." I know what you mean about not being able to answer the questions. I was watching it with my mom and most of it was Oprah answering her own questions. I mean, I do feel bad for her in a way because like you said, she didn't ask to be in the middle of this. And no matter what(especially from that comment when she said one thing led to another and she slept with Scott the first night) people are never going to see her as innocent.

I do think think that she is definitely milking it for all it's worth, but watching her in an interview is like watching a piece of broccoli.

Carl, I'm not sure that the housewives from "red states" would be the ones supporting her. They're too put off by the fact that there was an affair, she looks like a ho, and that she's a single mom. All of this adds up to an unsympathetic character to the traditional conservative mindset. (good, bad, or indifferent)

I live in a red state. Everybody pities her. Scott is hated, of course, and his villainy only makes her that much more pathetic. All the lonely houswives, grand mothers, Amber like ho's all feel sorry for her.. But they also envy her sudden fame.

Let her pose nude in a magazine for a million, have some plastic surgery and a boob job. Then this ones 15 minutes will be up. Good riddance.

rlbgbc, I was thinking the same thing with regards to the interview on Oprah. Oprah was asking and answering all the questions!!! Amber seemed tongue tied the entire time.

I saw a snippet of the Matt Lauer piece last night and he asked her if she could ever trust men again? Didn't she give birth again recently?

She's making money (to pay off her Gloria Alred bills) yet, Laci's family has to bear the burden of all this chronic publicity. Amber, please go away.

I'm quite sure that Gloria Allred is representing her pro bono. She's all over this kind of stuff.

I also read that Frey is donating the proceeds of the book to some charity for victims of violent crime.

Anyway, she actually did something beneficial--I doubt the guy would have been convicted without her testimony--and her reputation is now permenantly sullied, so I don't really blame her for wanting to defend herself and tell her story after the way she was cruficied by the Post, et al.

She's clearly not the brightest girl. But given that, I think what she did was especially commendable--all of that phone call stuff with the cops was very cloak and dagger and couldn't have been easy emotionally or otherwise.

It's not like she knew he was married--compared to the way the media salivated over Monica, Donna Rice, Jessica Hahn (I'm dating myself, yes?) I say give the poor girl a break. She's kind of sad and simple, but she did the right thing.

She's on Hannity & Colmes right now. Hannity is going on about how brave she is. I can't believe they are giving her this much time. The interview has run forty minutes and there's supposed to be more tomorrow night.
