While in a masterclass with Donna Drake, she told me that even during her time with the show, some little details of the original choreography had changed for one reason or another. I remember one example was a strenuous move in the opener that tweaked a little so it was easier for the dancers to do so frequently...I wonder if these changes will be included or if EVERYTHING Bennet originally intended will be included. ...Sorry that was a random and probably difficult-to-understand ramble from...
Children&art- I respect the fact that you're stating your opinions, but I don't agree with them How many grown women in their 30s do you know that rely on cute to get them by, it doesnt work ...Two tony nods, one win, several broadway hits, two CDs, a tv show, commercials, and countless public appearances, later...
I saw ABz with Danny in August, with most of the original cast, and I thought he DEFINITELY held his own. He was actually my favorite actor...and I recently saw it again with the new cast, and Danny "Toned" Mark down a little, and I didn't like it as much. But he (and Tyler!) are both very talented and both are great!
WonderBoy- This is the first summer she really hasn't had much to do with BTP. SHe just recently resigned, but was still very much a part of the program last year---she came a few days late but taught alot of classes, and choreographed a bunch of numbers..She was definitely involved.
I don't think it's a lack of training/ technique. Different singers have different voices, and a different way of creating each sound. Sometimes, the best sound for a specific vowel will come from just a different placement of your jaw. So although it may look "weird," that is probably NOT a lack of training. It is probably where she feels most comfort singing it.
I would have cracked up If I won the lotto tonight, the only thing going through my head would be "Whoa, look at that fierce, green jewish girl coming my way. Oh look, she's on aunt harriet's lap now!"
