I live in #3 but I'm not impressed with myself. I'm just about middle class.

Posted: 9/1/09 at 6:39pmI don't live in any of them. Big surprise.

Posted: 9/1/09 at 9:05pmWow, Alpine made it to #1? I am...not entirely surprised. Even by Bergen County standards that place is really, really upscale.

Posted: 9/1/09 at 10:59pmI was shocked that only one of those Zips was in Maryland and none were in Virginia... everyone knows that housing in the DC Metropolitan area is disgustingly overpriced...

Posted: 9/2/09 at 7:18amI live in number 74, well sorta. I do live in that town but the town has a few different zip codes and the one that they were showing was for an area that is more on the north side of town and people know that that part of town has more new and expensive housing.

Posted: 9/2/09 at 7:20amWhere's the list of zip codes where the residents wear the most wife beaters and jean shorts? That's the list my town would be on....
re: America's Most Expensive Zip Codes#8
Posted: 9/2/09 at 7:27amI live next to one of them.

Posted: 9/2/09 at 11:34amdanmag, I don't know how you of all people can live in a town dominated by jean shorts.

Posted: 9/2/09 at 11:35amThose shorts just seem to want to track me down wherever I go. I can run, but I can not hide.

Posted: 9/3/09 at 12:56amQ, doesn't the CA state constitution prevent property tax increases or something? I think I read somewhere that CA's government relies very heavily on business taxes - no wonder they were screwed as soon as the economy tanked.
