Why did I have to watch this tonight? I hadn't seen it in years but saw it sitting on my shelf and thought I'd enjoy a nice Matthew Modine film. I think I'll go sit in the bathroom and cry for a week now.

One of the first films I ever did extra work on.

I was Matthew's hand double. When Ian grabs his hand while in the hospital bed... That's mine.

I still have a hard time watching it.

The Chapter in the book, with the Grandmother is heartbreaking and the film in places fails to bring that to the screen...
