So Trump has made pretty blatant anti-gay, anti-fat comments in response to the Rosie O'Donnell thing.
Yet nobody has made a big deal out of it. Of course, he doesn't say "I hate ___ people," but what's the difference?
Big deals are made out of Michael Richards, Judith Reagan, etc. Why not Trump?

Unfortunately, that is a reflection of what society in general thinks about the issues... it's not ok to call names if it's race or gender-related but it's acceptable if it's sexuality or weight-related
He said something to Showbiz Tonight where I really thought he was going to step over that line.
Im very suprised no one is coming to Rosies defense. The media just lets him rant. Everyone is kissing Trump's ass.
He will be on Larry King- I hope Larry says something at least.

We made a big deal out of it here.
the most widely accepted form of bigotry: homophobia and cacomorphobia.

Look at Trump's hair... no one takes the man seriously.. only his money.
I read his comments and was fuming.
everyone expects this of trump. they just expect better of rosie. after all she is america's lesbian.

Actually I believe that Ellen is America's lesbian - Rosie wants to be Ellen.
well cus most think trump is right rosie made unprovked personal comments about him, and he responded. in the same way
Ellen is America's asexual.
Commenting on Trump's public persona is one thing. She blasted him for acting like some sort of benevolent god allowing his little lost sheep to be forgiven. He acted like he is a moral compass and Rosie pointed out his past reported shady business dealings. Did you see the press conference? It was ridiculous. Sickening. Miss USA was basically bowing before him. And Rosie's job on The View is to comment on that sort of thing. He, however, couldn't think of a valid argument so he called her "fat" and "ugly." He said that he could send one of his friends to steal her girlfriend. C'mon! While he didn't say MALE friend, you know that is what he meant. Then he ended it by saying that she better hold on to Kelly because she would never get another girlfriend. Does he HONESTLY think that Melania would be with a hideous, comb over sporting joke if he didn't have gold plated doorknobs? He is a dick.
I have better things to do, like lay in bed and complain.

"Ellen is America's asexual."
I am pretty sure Portia DiRossi feels differently.
I prefer Ellen to Rosie anytime
For one thing, Ellen is funny
And Portia is just....
"PORTIA?! Bring me my D cells!"
It is too bad nobody has made a big deal out of that worthless, immoral piece of craps homophobic statements. Trump is just pathetic.
"I prefer Ellen to Rosie anytime"
Of course you do. Because Ellen doesn't wear her sexuality on her sleeve the way Rosie does. And it's always easier for a hetero to accept a homo when they keep their big faggoty mouth shut about their dirty private business.
While I admire Ellen, I prefer Rosie's 'out loud and proud' attitude.
I just saw a piece about this whole thing on one of the entertainment shows. He makes me sick.

Trump was out of line. All the insults are unnecesary (sp?)
Rosie didn't call him fat or say he was unatractive. The only thing she did was say he made a bad choice and made fun of his comb-over. (and who hasn't!?) Freedom of speech. AND she's a comedian! He took it wwaaaayy to seriously and he's just a big ass baby. Period.
I hate him. He also makes me sick.
Sorry, Luscious, but I'm a gay woman and I prefer Ellen to Rosie as my representative any day.
Whatever blows up your skirt, Rath; to each his or her own. While I view Ellen as a pioneer of sorts, and enjoy her show, I prefer my women (and gay icons) more brash, ballsy and outspoken. These ladies embody two very different approaches, to be sure. Ellen's may very well be more palpable and appealing, especially to straight audiences, but, IMO, Rosie is more interesting, entertaining, and fun to watch. In addition, I think she's a highly generous, genuine, intelligent, informed and articulate individual. I love that she isn't afraid to speak her mind and express her views, and seemingly couldn't care less what anyone thinks about it. I honestly believe that if she were let go from The View tomorrow, she wouldn't give a s#!t. I admire someone who is that secure in their beliefs. Of course, financial security provides a tremendous amount of freedom, as well. But this isn't about Rosie vs. Ellen. It's about Rosie vs. Trump. And I'm completely in Rosie's corner on this one. Trump sickens me! He's positively reprehensible.
TRUMP QUOTES:
"Rosie O'Donnell's disgusting; both inside and out. You take a look at her; she's a slob..."
"So, probably I'll sue her, because it would be fun. I'd like to take some money out of her fat ass pockets."
"Well, Rosie's a loser. She's always been a loser. I've always understood it. She failed with her magazine. She failed with her show. As you know, in the end it was doing very poorly in terms of the ratings. (Really???) She's unattractive in every sense of the word. From a physical standpoint, she looks like hell. Inside she's far worse than she is on the outside; and I understand Rosie. Rosie is inherently a loser."
"The best thing Rosie has going is her girlfriend, Kelly. Now if Kelly ever leaves Rosie, she’ll never find another one, believe me. Because who’s going to want Rosie? How would you like to kiss that goodnight?"

^ Agreed!!! I love Ellen but Rosie is #1 for me!
I hate Trump.
I would rather date Ellen, but I look more like Rosie...lol.
